Mint, cherry, apple, chocolate and grape. These are the candy flavors many Western New York youth will get while trick-or-treating this Halloween. They are also the same flavors our teens see in flavored tobacco products near the candy at convenience stores and gas stations across New imagesYork. How haunting is it that the tobacco sellers are trying to make their products look more appealing, especially to teens, by giving them special flavors and wrapping them in bright, colorful packaging?

Our Reality Check youth advocates at Tobacco-Free WNY know that these flavored tobacco products aren’t delicious, they’re deadly. Their message on Halloween is that candy-flavored tobacco is a trick, not a treat.
