Great science drives the conversations we have to help create healthier, tobacco-free communities across Western New York. And now we have them in podcast form.

Our Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center colleagues Andrew Hyland, PhD and Maciej Goniewicz, PhD recently sat down with the American Lung Association and LUNG FORCE Walk Buffalo to discuss tobacco, nicotine and the other chemicals in cigarettes and e-cigarettes that are harming our lungs, our other organs, our air and our loved ones.

Take a listen as Hyland and Goniewicz, leaders in the local, state and global tobacco control community, present Tobacco & Nicotine Products 101 – Understanding the Facts.

In this podcast, you’ll hear about ways to advocate for:

-tighter tobacco control regulations

– the rise of e-cigarettes,

– what parents should know about smoking and teens

tobacco industry advertising and targeting youth

– and much more!
