Our work on tobacco control is a rapidly changing landscape. We had a tremendous opportunity to discuss past successes and evolving trends in the tobacco industry, as well as community health interventions to prevent the initiation of tobacco product use, in a July radio episode on the Issues and Views Show on Townsquare Buffalo.
Hosted by Joe Chille, the show aired on STAR 96.1, 106.5 WYRK, 92.9 WBUF and 93.7 WBLK.
Danielle Smith, PhD, MPH, Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Jenna Brinkworth, Community Engagement Manager at Tobacco-Free Roswell Park, weighed in with scientific data on nicotine and cannabis use throughout Western New York, as well as educational information on how to quit smoking or vaping.
